Customized Site-Specific NFPA-70E Arc Flash Training

So you have completed an AFHA study, labeled your facility and provided PPE. Your employer responsibilities are not fulfilled until qualified workers (i.e., engineers, technicians) and any other employees who may reasonably be expected to face the risk of an arc flash incident (i.e., managers, supervisors) have been trained. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.32 (c) states that the degree of training is determined by the level of risk to the employee.

Falcon Engineering Consultants conducts Arc Flash Hazard awareness training that includes:

  • Common Causes of an Arc Flash
  • Understanding information listed on a field marked arc flash label
  • Appropriate use of PPE and Hazard Risk Category (HRC)
  • Arc Flash Protection Boundary distances
  • Best work practices to prevent arc flash
  • How lock-out-tag-out is affected

As an employer, you are required to document employee proficiency upon completion of Arc Flash training.
